Democrats make their case at 7th Congressional District forum in Rhinelander

RHINELANDER, Wis. (WSAW) - Three Democratic candidates vying to represent Wisconsin’s 7th Congressional District gathered at The Pines Event Center in Rhinelander for a candidate forum.

David Barnhill, a district resident who attended the event, said the stakes feel high.

“I’m 76 years old, and I’ve gone through a lot of different periods in our political history,” Barnhill said. “And this, I feel, is the most dangerous I’ve ever experienced. And so we really need the best candidates running for office to represent us.”

Ginger Murray

Ginger Murray, a small business owner from Crandon, has spent 30 years in the judicial system, representing both sides. She said that experience would carry into office.

“It was my responsibility to listen to both sides, apply the law, and come up with a just and reasonable end result,” Murray said. “Again, what I think people in Washington, D.C. should be doing.”
