Vote: Ginger for U.S. Congress

Introductory photo

Meet Ginger Murray

A proud Northwoods native, small business owner, and lifelong advocate for her community, Ginger is running for United States Congress: in Wisconsin's 7th district. She's committed to common sense solutions, leadership by example, real results for families, and dropping divisive tactics to return to bringing people together because we're truly... Better Together.

Our priorities

Results for US

These are some of the top priorities our campaign is focused on.

Education

Classrooms need to be safe places that support academic success. This requires aligning administration and staff, empowering educators, and demanding payment of promised government funds for Northwoods schools to ensure students in rural communities receive the same or better opportunities as available elsewhere.

Economic Stability

Championing policies that provide respectable compensation to working families, profits for small businesses, and sustainable job growth across the district.

Healthcare

Everyone deserves access to quality, affordable care — a fix is past due for the underserved rural communities where hospital and clinic closures and shortages are ever-increasing.

Enviromental Safeguards

Protecting Northern Wisconsin’s land, water, and natural resources, while safely maintaining essential consumption of these invaluable resources to support the region’s economy and identity.

Our Campaign's Top Issues

  • Better Together

  • Planning for Real Results NOT Political Promises

  • A New Way To Results

Better Together

Ginger plans to separate herself from mainstream politics to earn the vacant seat for Congress: WI-7.  With 30 years either presenting to the Courts or presiding over hearings, she knows how to identify the issues, research the option, and get to results! Because of her success in the court, her reputation allows her to settle nearly 90% of her cases out of court. "Results that stand the test of time, and not just the current term, are results obtained by rebuilding functional collaboration for everyone at the table, to serve all constituents... not just those who voted for you." She's ready to do the work to get those well reasoned results that serve our community.   “We don’t move this district forward unless we move it forward together.”

Planning for Real Results NOT Political Promises

“We all want safe schools. We all want clean water. We all want access to affordable quality health care.   We all want stable, good-paying jobs. These are shared values that we all deserve… not just political promises.”

“People are tired of political theater: it’s past time for elected officials to show up, listen, learn, and obtain results for their constituents. It is time for elected officials to stop with political positioning and grandstanding, and get to the business of obtaining results for those who elect them...That’s my plan!"

A New Way To Results

“Fighting” is not her method. "Fights end with one winner and one loser... a loser focused on winning the next fight. Reaching results through compromise allows both sides to win and move on to the next issue." Ginger's 30 years in advocacy has led to a settlement rate of nearly 90%, with both sides obtaining mutually acceptable results. For that other 10%, those take 90% of her time: work around the clock, researching every angle, considering every result, knowing which experts to rely on, knowing how to demonstrate who is credible, and who is not... to get the right results. Her experience and skills will be used to persuade: obtaining mutually acceptable well-reasoned results that improve life for our community, avoiding the perpetuation of divisiveness, when appropriate... and being the most prepared and persuasive when a compromise isn't suitable.  She is ready to take those skills to DC to obtain results for Northwoods WI!

Honorable Judge Robert Kinney

"I have known Ginger Murray for over three decades. She is a fighter in the courtroom, and she will be a fighter for working people in Northern Wisconsin. She has always looked for practical solutions. Through her hard work, she discovered that the taxpayers of Northern Wisconsin were being shortchanged when it came to federal reimbursement under a provision of the Social Security Act. She shared her findings with numerous county agencies, resulting in tens of thousands of dollars in additional reimbursement to Northern Wisconsin county coffers. Simply put, she knows how to get things done. She has the skills we need in our representative in Congress."

Honorable Robert E. Kinney is a retired Circuit Court Judge from Oneida County who served more than three decades on the bench. Widely respected for his fairness and commitment to the rule of law, Judge Kinney presided over civil and criminal cases throughout northern Wisconsin. After retiring, he continued public service as a reserve judge and as a referee for Wisconsin’s Office of Lawyer Regulation. Judge Kinney has also served on statewide ethics bodies and remains an active voice for constitutional integrity, judicial independence, and accountable government.

Meet the candidates in Wisconsin’s 7th Congressional District Democratic primary

A former legislator, an attorney, and a computer programmer are promising something increasingly appealing to voters: a return to normal.

There’s something happening here. People living in a reliably Republican congressional district in northern Wisconsin are seeing things they don’t recognize from traditional conservatives — and they’re not happy about it, according to three candidates running in the 7th Congressional District.

“People are fatigued, is one word,” said candidate Ginger Murray. “Disgusted. It’s gone too far. It’s just gone too far.”
